J Michael Levesque
Michael enjoyed a distinguished career in Government and Politics before leaving to start a career in Consulting and Real Estate.
In 1988, Michael was elected the first Mayor in the history of the Town of West Warwick, Rhode Island. In 1990, he won a second term, after which he accepted his Party nomination for Office of Governor of the State of Rhode Island.
During the 1980s and 1990s, Michael was appointed by President Reagan and Bush on four separate occasions to advise them on business and labor matters, including service as a United States Commissioner for Employment Policy from 1988 to 1993 capacity.
Currently, Michael is a real estate developer and business consultant for various companies involved in a wide range of fields, including manufacturing, gaming, energy, and solid waste disposal.
He also continues to consult for companies interested in doing business in Europe, the Caribbean and Latin America, and has served on the Board of Directors for an automobile related company based in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
He was the co-founder of the West Warwick Narragansett Indian Casino Drive, and was a paid consultant for Harrah’s Entertainment.
